Visit the seaside settlements of the Amalfi Coast with a local driver. Along the coastline, you will view the village of Positano and its narrow streets. Then you will continue through Praiano and other little villages along the shore until you come to the Esmeraldo Grotto, a cave. You will then visit Amalfi to see the Piazza del Duomo and discover the town’s history. Lastly, you will go to Ravello and then to Villa Rufolo and its gardens.
A local captain on a Mediterranean Gozzo 26-foot ship along with an English-speaking guide will take you to swim in the inlets of Capri, where the sea is light blue and emerald. The captain will show you all the rocks while the guide will tell you more about the historical, geological and biological aspects of the nature you see. Your guide will take you to the house of a family in Capri who enjoy welcoming guests and sharing their recipes. You will prepare meals from a menu based on the cooking traditions of Capri. You will learn about their foods and traditions as you make caprese salad, ravioli capresi, parmigiana di melanzane (eggplant) and a caprese cake with almond and chocolate. Once the meal is prepared, you will sit around the table and eat together—just like an Italian Sunday. When you finish lunch, you will burn some energy as you walk the streets of Capri.
