The Floating City
About

Fall in love with the City of Canals' picturesque bridges and narrow pedestrian alleyways.

Located in the Veneto region of Italy, Venice is more surprising and more romantic than you could ever imagine. With its art-filled palaces, untainted architectural heritage, and winding canals, it is easy to see why the “City of Canals” is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Cruising down the Grand Canal in a boat for the first time is a jaw-dropping experience unlike any other.

Instead of roads, Venice relies on water taxis, canal boats, and gondolas. Get lost in a labyrinth network of islands, bridges, pedestrian alleys, and canals before embarking on the art, history, architecture, and culture.

A good place to start your visit to the “Floating City” is Piazza San Marco. This lovely piazza is home to attractions such as the Basilica with its Byzantine gold mosaics, Doge's Palace, Torre dell'Orologio, and the Campanile. Climb to the top of the tallest building in Venice and enjoy panoramic views of the city.

No visit to Venice is complete without crossing the Rialto Bridge. This ornate structure which connects the sestieri of San Marco and San Polo is one of the most beautiful bridges in Italy. Art lovers will want to check out the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Galleria dell’Accademia.
