Lake Como is a world-renowned tourist destination that oozes charm on every turn.  

Hop on a boat tour on the lake and see the picturesque stone village of Bellagio. You can also get close to some of the historic mansions on Lake Como such as Villa del Balbianello and Villa Carlotta. The small village of Lecco is home to the picturesque Villa Manzoni, the seat of the Manzoni Museum. In the town of Como itself, see the bustling Piazza Cavour.

The good news is that many of the historic palaces open their gardens for public viewing during the summer season.

In Milan, visit the Duomo, a cathedral dedicated to Santa Maria Nascente. You can also climb up to the rooftop and enjoy sweeping views of the city. Opera lovers will want to pay a visit to La Scala, one of the world’s leading opera houses. Home to La Scala Theatre Ballet and La Scala Theatre Orchestra, the venue offers a wide range of performances throughout the year.

No visit to Milan is complete without stopping by the 15th century Castello Sforzesco. One of the largest citadels in Europe, the castle is houses museums, relics, and artworks. Nature lovers can spend a few hours at the nearby Parco Sempione, one of the most beautiful parks in the city.

Cruising Lake Como

Explore Lake Como by boat with a local captain. You will cruise around Isola Comacina, the towns of Menaggio, Como, Bellagio and Laglio (where George Clooney's Villa Oleandra is located), and see a waterfall in Nesso. This tour can be adapted in length and tailored according to your interests and your starting point. Rest stops can be arranged in the town of Bellagio and the villas and gardens of Villa Carlotta and Villa Balbianello. A local guide can stay for the entire tour.

Como & Bellagio Highlights

Enjoy a walking tour of Como, the namesake of the lake and the picturesque village of Bellagio. You'll meet our guide at Piazza Cavour downtown and then you will go to Piazza Volta. Next, you will view Cortesella with its medieval houses and Via Vitani with its elegant grey stone architecture. The white marble Duomo shows different artistic styles. As you walk along the Via Vittorio Emanuele, you will meet the Piazza San Fedele, a square in Como. It used to be a medieval marketplace featuring terracotta and wooden homes and the Saint Fedele Basilica. Around the corner are medieval walls, and the Porta Torre that once was Como’s main gate. Beyond the walls is modern Como with Piazza della Vittoria erected in memory of General Giuseppe Garibaldi who liberated Como from Austrian rule.

Milan Walking Tour

Explore the highlights of Milan on foot with your guide. While the city is recognized for its influence on global fashion, this tour reveals the city’s culture and history. The tour begins at Piazza della Scala, which overlooks the La Scala Theater and the sixteenth-century Palazzo Marino, which is now Milan’s city hall. The opera house La Scala is an opera and ballet theater, and you will get to view the opera house and its museum. You will then walk through the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a shopping arcade. Next, you will arrive at Piazza del Duomo and the Cathedral of Milan that took centuries to be constructed. Enjoy the building’s beauty, especially the stained-glass window.

Milan Fashion Tour

On this glamorous walking tour of Milan, your guide will show you the Golden Quadrilateral, an expensive and exclusive shopping district of Milan, with luxury brand boutiques, furniture showrooms and high-end jewellery shops. You will then walk to the beautiful Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the oldest active shopping arcade in Italy. It consists of two intersecting streets with a glass ceiling and mosaic floors. The mall houses high-end designer stores from Gucci to Prada, to Armani. Through the tour, your guide will tell you about the local history of fashion and the lives of the most important fashion designers.
